Mumbai

Mahabaleshwar

At 1372 metres above sea level, Mahabaleswar is one of the most spectacular and the largest of Maharashtra’s hill-satations.

Air-Nearest airport is Pune, 120kms.
Rail-Nearest railhead is Wathar, but Pune, 120 kms is the convenient railhead.

Aurangabad

How To Go:
Air- Aurangabad airport is 10 kms from the city and is airlinked directly to Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur and Mumbai.
Rail-Aurangabad is a section on the Manmad-Kachiguda line. Mumbai-Aurangabad 375 kms,

Ajanta

Ajanta is renowned for its cave paintings or frescoes of multiple colours. These wonderful Buddhist cave temples were built on Sahyadri hills during the period of 850 years from 200 B C to 650 A D.
How To Go: Ajanta caves are located •59 km from Jalgaon •80 km from Bhusuwal and •103 km from Aurangabad. Regular bus services are available from these three stations.

Ellora

India’s third wonder or Ellora caves stand in semi-circular form at a distance of 28 km to the South West of the Aurangabad city and 17km to the north west of the fort.

Pune

The picturesque commercial and industrial city Pune is on 559 m high plateau of Sahyadri hill. Mula river to the north and Mutha to the west have formed a moat around Pune.
How To Reach: Pune at a distance of 192 km from Mumbai is the junction station on Mumbai-Chennai railway route. Local trains are also available for Lonavala, 64 km away.

Siridih is a small village in Ahmednagar district to the south of Godavari.

Ganapatipule

Far from the madding crowd of Mumbai Ganapatipule with its verdant and serene beach invites the tired tourists. It is a plateau, the temple is at a height of 100 m-the hill itself has taken the shape of Lord Ganesha in popular imagination.
How To Reach: From Deolipatta on Bombay-Goa NH 17, buses are available for Ganapatipule at a distance of 32 km. Buses from Pune/Mahabaleswar arrive at Ganapatipule in about 6 hrs.

Kolhapur

Kolhapur, one of the 51 Pithas, is a holy place with more than 250 temples. The 3rd eye of sati fell on Kolhapur which is also known as a health resort. Today it is an industrial and commercial city.
