General Informations:

 

Goa
Goa, is the smallest state of India. It is situated on the western coast of Indian Peninsula. The Golden Goa is known for its exotic beaches & lifestyle & is one of the most important tourist destination of the country.

How To Go: Goa can be reached from Kolkata by train upto Mumbai/ Pune and from there one has to change the train and avail Konkon Rail. Howrah > Pune 2024 km/ Mumbai 2216 km.

 

 

What to See:

Panaji:
Hills and mountains, rivers and rivulets, ocean and seas- they all are the body constituents of Goa. Both sea-bath and sun-bath are tenderly celebrated in the laps of 40 pretty golden beaches all at the foot of olive-green low-height hills and mountains extended far and wide of 105 km sea coast.

 

 

Calangute:
15kms from Panaji and 10 km from Mapusa, 7 km wide bow like Queen of beaches is Calangute and south-linked Candolim (twin) beach of sand-dunes with bushes, covered by Tamarisk tree. Sunset at Calangute marked with the goldenglimpse of sand beach is delicately touchy.

 
Colva:
South of Dabolim Airport, 6 km west of Margaon and 40 km away from Panaji is the King of the Beaches-Colva. The silvery coast of Colva, the fringed palm and coconut along the beach are to make the must for tourists.

 
Miramar:
On the way to Dona Paula, 1 km ahead of the confluence of Arabian Sea and Mandovi river, under the palm shade is Mimamar Beach, being the nearest to the city. The coast is spreaded upto 2 km having fine silvery sand bed.Aguanda gulf is also visible from here.

 

 
Mayem Lake:

Mayem is a lake 35 km N-East of Panaji. The lake is well-guarded a landscape of greenery by the four-arms of the hills. One may enjoy boating in lake water. It’s an ideal picnic spot also.

 

 
Dudhsagar:
Measuring a gigantic 600 mts from head to foot, are the famous waterfalls called Dudhsagar.Overlooking a streep, falcate-shaped head of a valley carpeted with pristine tropical forest, Dudhsagar waterfalls nestles amid splendid scenery that is only accessible on foot or by train.
